Our Skate Parks Design Philosophy
Barkman skate parks are designed by local skaters, and our experienced designers.
Our design process is:
- Meet with skate park owners
- determine the design constraints: budget/space/regulations/time lines and administrative challenges
- Meet with local skaters
- determine what type of park they want it to can become
- works through early design options with skaters
- Produce a preliminary design
- meet with the skaters to get their feedback
- revise according to the skaters responses
- continue to redesign as situations change
- finalize the design and costing for construction
