About Us
We know how kids play.
PlayWorks began in 1983 when John Kuby, a former elementary school teacher, and Phys. Ed. specialist became fascinated with how kids experienced playgrounds. While designing BigToys playground structures for schools, he saw first-hand which components were used the most, where kids spent the most time, and what they valued as fun. From this experience, a passion for playground design was developed.
Over the years, John has closely followed the playground design trends. As a result, PlayWorks now represents many of the industry’s most innovative manufacturers.
The entire PlayWorks and ParkWorks staff shares the passion for play and playground design. It is what drives us do our best for our real customers: the kids.
